Despite the fact that there is no consensus on the future role of Turkey as an ally of the United States and NATO in the region among American experts, the need for the direct involvement of the White House in the resolution of regional conflicts is not in doubt and is determined by strategic interests of the USA in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East.
Несмотря на то что среди американских экспертов нет консенсуса о дальнейшей роли Турции в качестве союзника США и НАТО в регионе, необходимость непосредственного вовлечения Белого дома в разрешение региональных конфликтов не вызывает сомнений и определяется геостратегическими интересами США в Восточном Средиземноморье и на Ближнем Востоке.</trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>research centers</kwd><kwd>the scientific community of United States</kwd><kwd>foreign policy</kwd><kwd>international relations</kwd><kwd>Turkey</kwd><kwd>USA</kwd><kwd>Syria</kwd><kwd>Mediterranean</kwd><kwd>Eastern Mediterranean</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>исследовательские центры</kwd><kwd>научное сообщество США</kwd><kwd>внешняя политика</kwd><kwd>международные отношения</kwd><kwd>Турция</kwd><kwd>США</kwd><kwd>Сирия</kwd><kwd>Средиземноморский регион</kwd><kwd>Восточное Средиземноморье</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Abramowitz M., Edelman E., Misztal B.
