The concept «defender» to classify non-intervention experts is used. The criteria for American experts as «defenders» are defined. The perspectives of practical implementation of «defender’s» ideas are estimated.В статье рассматриваются воззрения американских политических экспертов, рекомендующих использовать военную силу исключительно в рамках самообороны и при условии прямого военного нападения на территорию США. В исследовании вводится в научный оборот новый термин «оборонщики» для характеристики указанной группы авторов, даются четкие критерии отнесения экспертов к группе «оборонщиков».
