The potential of this channel of information exchange and its role in the Cuban missile crisis and in the signing of Limited Test Ban Treaty on August 5, 1963 are analyzed.</abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">В данной статье рассматриваются малоизвестные эпизоды неформального советcко-американского Дартмутского диалога в эпоху «холодной войны».
