Every year the number of foreign students continues to grow in the world steadily. Russia and Council of cooperation of the Arab states of the Persian Gulf (CCASPG) are significant participants of the world educational market, however, cooperation in this sphere is developed not sufficiently. An objective of this research is identification of the key directions in the higher education in which Russia and Gulf States could develop mutually beneficial cooperation.</italic></p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><italic>В статье анализируется положение арабских стран Персидского залива и России на мировом рынке услуг высшего образования. С каждым годом количество иностранных студентов в мире продолжает неуклонно расти. Россия и ССАГПЗ являются значимыми участниками мирового образовательного рынка, однако, сотрудничество в этой сфере развито не в достаточной степени.
