Progress of developing countries, first of all China, requires studying of their experience and accounting in case of development of national strategies of development of automotive industry. In work the current market trends of world automotive industry and factors causing them are considered the reasons of success of developing countries and the threats connected with it for traditional leaders are shown. Based on the carried-out analysis conclusions about key factors of sharp growth of competitiveness of automotive industry of China, occupation by it world leading line items, and also the prospects of use of this experience in other countries are drawn.</italic></p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><italic>В последние десятилетия конъюнктура мирового автомобильного рынка претерпела существенные изменения. Успехи развивающихся стран, в первую очередь Китая, требуют изучения их опыта и учёта при разработке  национальных стратегий развития автопрома.  В работе рассматриваются современные рыночные тенденции мирового автомобилестроения и факторы их обуславливающие, показываются причины успеха развивающихся стран и связанные с этим угрозы для традиционных лидеров.
