Industrial clusters represent the form of placement of production arising in the course of economic globalization and now already became an important economic phenomenon. In article definition of the concept "industrial cluster" is given, in a chronological order the main theories of industrial clusters (the theory of external economy of A.Marshall, the theory of new economic geography of P.Krugman and the theory of competitive advantages of M.Porter) are considered, the short author's comment is given. At the end of article the assertion that development of industrial clusters promotes increase of competitiveness of production, strengthening of competitive advantages of regional clusters, and also satisfaction in the conditions of economic globalization of requirements of the international market of division of labor is made.

Промышленные кластеры представляют собой возникающую в процессе экономической глобализации форму размещения производства и в настоящее время уже стали  важным  экономическим  феноменом.  B  статье  дается  определение  понятия «промышленный кластер», в хронологическом порядке рассматриваются основные теории промышленных кластеров (теория внешней экономики А.Маршалла, теория новой экономической географии П.Кругмана и теория конкурентных преимуществ М.Портера), дается краткий авторский комментарий. B конце статьи делается утверждение о том, что развитие промышленных кластеров способствует повышению конкурентоспособности производства, укреплению конкурентных преимуществ региональных кластеров, а также удовлетворению в условиях экономической глобализации потребностей международного рынка разделения труда.
