The article is devoted to the definition of priority directions of regional development of Kursk region. The current socio-economic situation in the region, describes the key problems and strengths of the Kursk region, identified based on the SWOT-analysis is analyzed in this work. The change in the sectoral structure of employment in the region is clearly seen. The author identified the key activities and sources of their financing to eliminate the existing negative trends in the field of environmental sphere. In conclusion, promising directions for further development of the region are proposed.

Статья посвящена определению приоритетных направлений регионального развития Курской области. В работе проведен анализ текущей социально-экономической ситуации в регионе, описаны ключевые проблемы и сильные стороны Курской области, выявленные на основе проведенного SWOT-анализа. Отчетливо прослеживается изменение отраслевой структуры занятости в регионе. Автором были определены ключевые мероприятия и источники их финансирования для устранения существующих негативных тенденций, в частности, в области экологической ситуации. В заключение были предложены перспективные направления дальнейшего развития области.
