Industrial regions are the basis for the development of the country's economy. This article examines the existing threats to development, among which the non-use of old industrial buildings has been identified. The analysis of existing abandoned territories allows us to formulate a number of problems that the government faces when implementing projects for the renovation of these territories. Special attention is paid to the problem of abandoned unused industrial buildings in foreign countries. The experience of the analyzed countries demonstrates the real possibility of restoring abandoned industrial territories. As a conclusion, there are positive aspects that will arise after the change of unused territories.

Промышленные регионы являются основой развития экономики страны. В данной статье рассмотрены угрозы развития, среди которых выявлено наличие заброшенных промышленных объектов. Анализ существующих заброшенных территорий позволяет сформулировать ряд проблем, с которыми сталкиваются региональные власти при реализации проектов по реновации данных территорий. Особое внимание уделяется проблеме заброшенных неиспользуемых промышленных строений в зарубежных странах. Опыт анализируемых стран демонстрирует реальную возможность восстановления заброшенных промышленных территорий. В качестве вывода выступают положительные аспекты, которые возникнут после изменения неиспользуемых территорий.
