From the 1990s to 2016, 1,749 public-private partnership projects with a total value of 336 billion euros reached their financial completion in the EU [10. P. 9]. The UK is the leader in the number of implemented projects, its experience seems to be the most valuable. The Private Finance Initiative program alone has so far presented about 700 projects with a total capital value of 58 billion pounds. The article provides an overview of the PFI (Private Finance Initiative) PPP model, presents its shortcomings, gives examples, reasons for rejection of this model, an overview of alternative public-private partnership models that can be used instead of the Private Finance Initiative model. </p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Государственно-частное партнерство (ГЧП) позволяет привлекать частные инвестиции для решения социально значимых проблем государства.
