In 2022, an unprecedented number of foreign manufacturers left the Russian clothing industry market, which can be considered as a significant opportunity to implement an import substitution policy in the industry. The article examines the degree of study of the problem of import substitution in the domestic clothing industry and analyzes the dynamics of the volume of imported goods of the category “clothing” and their share in the total volume of imports from the beginning of the course for import substitution until 2021 compared to the previous period. As a result of the study, the current state, role and prospects of the industry are determined, and conclusions are drawn about the interim results of the import substitution policy in the industry and the need to revise the existing approach to its implementation.

В 2022 г. российский рынок швейной промышленности покинуло беспрецедентное количество зарубежных производителей, что можно рассматривать как существенную возможность для реализации политики импортозамещения в отрасли. В статье рассмотрена степень изученности проблемы импортозамещения в отечественной швейной промышленности и проведен анализ динамики объема ввезенных товаров категории “одежда” и их доли в общем объеме импорта с начала курса на импортозамещение до 2021 г. по сравнению с предшествующим периодом. В результате исследования определены актуальное состояние, роль и перспективы индустрии, а также сделаны выводы о промежуточных результатах политики импортозамещения в отрасли и необходимости пересмотра существующего подхода к её реализации.
