Ensuring macroeconomic stability in the monetary union require the improvement of national competitiveness. A large divergence in competitiveness constraints deeper European Integration and causes problems for the survival of the Eurozone in the long term. The global financial crisis of 2007- 2009 and the European debt crisis increased economic imbalances in the Eurozone. The undertaken anti-crisis measures were not able to restore competitiveness. The national positions in the Global Competitiveness Index vary significantly in the monetary union. Moreover, higher unit labour costs are not always associated with higher labour productivity. Increases in unit labour costs and consumer prices did not translate in an proportional increase in export prices in many countries.
Подобно этому экспортные цены отчасти менялись сильнее удельных затрат на рабочую силу и сильнее потребительских цен.</trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Eurozone</kwd><kwd>national competitiveness</kwd><kwd>Global Competitiveness Index</kwd><kwd>export prices</kwd><kwd>unit labour cost</kwd><kwd>labour productivity</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>зона евро</kwd><kwd>национальная конкурентоспособность</kwd><kwd>индекс глобальной конкурентоспособности</kwd><kwd>экспортные цены</kwd><kwd>удельные затраты на рабочую силу</kwd><kwd>производительность труда</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>International Monetary Fund (2016): World Economic Outlook Update, July 2016.
