The first decade of new millennium was rather difficult for the world economy and particularly for the US economy, connecting with the financial-economic crisis. As an outcome of that crisis the role of American TNC’s began decline in a quick terms. But tendencies of American TNC’s role decline were also registered before crisis period. Such kind of results are registered both for the parent companies of US TNC’s as a whole, and for the leading American TNC’s. In some degree US TNC’s affiliates have progress abroad, but it is rather small now.В статье проводится анализ инвестиционной активности американских ТНК за 2000—2010 гг. с целью выявить не только формировавшиеся тенденции потоков и накопленных ПИИ США за тот же период, но и определить, изменилась ли роль американских ТНК в международном производстве. Первое десятилетие нового тысячелетия стало довольно сложным для мировой экономики и в частности для экономики США, что связано с финансово-экономическим кризисом. Вследствие кризиса роль американских ТНК в международном производственном процессе начала быстро падать. Однако тенденции снижения роли американских ТНК наметились до кризиса. Такие результаты получены как во время анализа деятельности всех материнских компаний американских ТНК в целом, так и анализа деятельности ведущих американских ТНК.
