The author presents findings of the researching the way how Russian companies organize a process of planning and implementing strategy. During researching the author identified major problems that hamper the progress of strategic planning process. These problems are an unavailability of top managers for strategic planning, a lack of direct involvement of top managers in planning and implementing strategy, a wrong organization of strategic planning process, an authority and influence of functional managers on strategic planning department, an ineffective interaction with external consultants, a lack of strategic control.
            </abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru">В статье обсуждаются проблемы и трудности внедрения и функционирования системы стратегического планирования в российских компаниях. Представлены результаты исследований, посвященных организации стратегического планирования в российских компаниях. Определены главные причины, препятствующие успешному функционированию системы стратегического планирования. К ним относятся: неготовность высшего руководства компании к стратегическому планированию, малая или формальная заинтересованность высшего руководства, неправильная организация процесса стратегического планирования, низкая эффективность процессов оперативного планирования и контроля, административная зависимость отдела стратегического планирования, неверная организация взаимодействия с внешними консультантами, отсутствие стратегического контроля.
