Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service data archives are used as a source of information. It was found that the imposition of socio-economic restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic affected the content of dust and nitrogen oxide in the atmosphere unevenly for different regions of the country. The state of atmospheric dust and NO2 content has improved due to the restrictions imposed in a number of regions of the Far East (apparently, also due to restrictions on the territory of neighboring China) and, to a lesser degree, in the center of the European part of Russia. The information obtained can be used to predict the development of the social and economic situation in the coming years and to plan preventive measures to overcome the economic and social consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to develop proposals to overcome negative consequences for the environment, including measures to optimize territorial development, nature protection and consideration of ecosystem functions.</p>
Полученная информация может быть использована для прогнозирования развития социальной и экономической ситуации на ближайшие годы и планирования превентивных мер для преодоления экономических и социальных последствий пандемии COVID-19, а также для разработки предложений по преодолению негативных последствий для окружающей среды, включая меры по оптимизации территориального развития, охране природы и учету экосистемных функций.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>atmosphere dust</kwd><kwd>NO2 content in the atmosphere</kwd><kwd>COVID-19</kwd><kwd>Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service</kwd><kwd>Russia</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>запыленность атмосферы</kwd><kwd>содержание NO2 в атмосфере</kwd><kwd>COVID-19</kwd><kwd>Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service</kwd><kwd>Россия</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The study was supported by the Russian Geographical Society, and by the RUDN University Strategic Academic Leadership Program.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Исследования проведены при поддержке Русского географического общества и Программы стратегического академического лидерства РУДН.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Baldasano JM.
