There are 48 species and subspecies of wormwood within Buryatian flora, one of which is Artemisia gmelinii Web. ex Stechm. For the first time the composition of the essential oils of A. gmelinii growing in the rare community of Siberian apricot ( Armeniaca sibirica (L.) Lam) is presented in this work. Essential oils were obtained from the raw materials collected during the field works on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia (Kyakhtinsky district, surroundings of Tamir village - Southern slopes of the Tamir range) in 2020. The vegetation of the Tamir range’s slope is represented by shrub communities from the relict of Eastern Asia growing since the Miocene-Pliocene time - Armeniaca sibirica . The dominant components of essential oil’s of A. gmelinii from apricot community are 1,8-cineole, germacrene D, camphor, borneol, caryophyllene. Essential oils of A. gmelinii growing within the Siberian flora of one chemotype with a predominance of mono-terpenoids in the group composition form two subtypes, prevailing: 1) in the East Siberian populations of A. gmelinii with a predominance of sesquiterpenoids in the composition of essential oils; 2) in the West Siberian populations of A. gmelinii with a predominance of monoterpenoids in essential oils.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p style="text-align: justify;">Бурятия как часть Байкальской Сибири является одним из основных центров происхождения и морфологического разнообразия полыни в Евразии. Во флоре Бурятии отмечено 48 видов и подвидов полыни, среди которых полынь Гмелина Artemisia gmelinii Web. ex Stechm. В работе впервые представлен состав эфирного масла A. gmelinii , произрастающей в редком сообществе абрикоса сибирского. Сырье для получения эфирного масла собирали в ходе экспедиций по Республике Бурятия (Кяхтинский район, окр. с. Тамир - южные склоны Тамирского хребта) в 2020 г. Растительность склона Тамирского хребта представлена кустарниковыми сообществами из реликта Восточной Азии миоцен-плиоценового возраста - Armeniaca sibirica (L.) Lam. Установлено, что доминирующими компонентами эфирного масла полыни Гмелина из абрикосника являются 1,8-цинеол, гермакрен Д, камфора, борнеол, кариофиллен. Эфирные масла полыни Гмелина, произрастающей на территории Сибири, хемотипа с преобладанием в составе монотерпеноидов по групповому составу образуют два подтипа, характерных: 1) для восточносибирских популяций полыни Гмелина с преобладанием в составе эфирных масел сесквитерпеноидов; 2) для западносибирских популяций полыни Гмелина с преобладанием в составе эфирных масел монотерпеноидов.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Artemisia gmelinii Web. ex Stechm</kwd><kwd>Buryatia</kwd><kwd>Siberia</kwd><kwd>essential oil</kwd><kwd>component composition</kwd><kwd>chemotype</kwd><kwd>Armeniaca sibirica (L.)
