THE STABILITY OF NONLINEAR DEFORMABLE CYLINDRICAL COMPOSITE SHELLS UNDER NON-UNIFORM LOADS

Trushin S.I., Sysoeva E.V., Zhuravleva T.A.

Abstract

The numerical analysis results of flexible cylindrical shells stability in static unsymmet- rical loading cases are given in the article. Geometrically nonlinear shell theory relations were used in computational model development. Equilibrium paths are derived using finite differ- ence energy method and arch-length continuation procedure. Some results of flexible shallow cylindrical square shells analysis with various non-uniform out-of-plane load types are pre- sented in the article.

THE LOCAL STRESS-STRAIN STATE OF A CYLINDRICAL SHELL ON THE BASIS OF THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL EQUATIONS OF THE THEORY OF ELASTICITY

Firsanov V.V.

Abstract

Mathematical models and calculation's algorithms of the stress-strain state of a cylindri- cal shell in a zone of its distortion are developed. In places of fixing, presence of connections and joints, actions of local loadings arise additional in relation to the classical theory quickly damped stresses. The boundary value problem is solved and calculations of stresses near rig- idly mounted shell edge at axisymmetrical loading are carried out.

MOISTURE ELASTICITY OF THICK-WALLED INHOMOGENEOUS CYLINDER UNDER NONSTATIONARY HUMIDITY CONDITIONS

Andreev V.I., Avershyev A.S.

Abstract

There is presented a solution of the problem of unsteady axisymmetric moisture transfer in a thick-walled tube, modeling part of ground mass, with the propagation of the moisture from the inner surface to periphery. At the second stage in mined the slow moisture transfer is solved quasistationary problem of moisture elasticity for heterogeneous body because of uneven changing the deformation characteristics of the soil by saturated it with moisture. The term "moisture elasticity" is used by analogy with the term thermoelasticity since the presence of moisture in the material induce forced deformations which is similar to the temperature deformations and problems of heat and mass transfer use the same mathematics.

THE STUDY THE ELASTO-PLASTIC BAR STABILITY IN CASE OF ECCENTRICITY APPLICATION OF THE FAST INCREASING LOAD

Manchenko M.M.

Abstract

In the paper, the method of finding the critical load in case when the metallic rectangular bar is loaded intensively increasing in time force is overviewed. In the formation of equations of movement taken in account, the relation of the flexural yield stress ?y from strain rate is presented.

ON OPTIMUM FORM OF GROUND-THROWER'S BLADE

Semkiv O.M., Popova A.N., Shatokhin V.M.

Abstract

Method of determination of ground-thrower's blade optimum form is based on solution of brachistochrone problem for the field of centrifugal inertial forces. Blade of optimal shape, called brachistochrone, in the centrifugal force field, which equation had been obtained in polar coordinate system, is considered. The results of kinematic behaviour researches of mov- ing particle are given.

TRANSFORMATION OF WAVES SPREADING ALONG BURIED PIPELINE BECAUSE OF CONSTRUCTIVE INCLUSIONS

Lalin V.V., Denisov G.V.

Abstract

The paper considers the dynamic behavior of buried pipeline with constructive inclu- sion. It is shown that a traveling wave is transformed into transmitted and reflected waves. The effect of the analytical dependence is assessed. It is shown that the construc- tive inclusion reduces the level of dynamic impact.

OLERANCE LIMIT DEFECTS IN THE CYLINDRICAL PIPE SHELLS UNDER INTERNAL PRESSURE

Kuznetsova E.V., Kolmogorov G.L.

Abstract

N the work, the design procedure of the critical sizes of microdefects and discontinuity flaw on surfaces of the cylindrical shells which are under internal pressure is offered. Approaches of mechanics of destructions considering factors of intensity of stresses for definition of maximum-permissible lengths of cracks for blind semielliptical cracks are stud- ied

OPTIMISATION CEMENT CONTENT FOR GRAVELLY LATERITIC FOR REALIZATION OF PAVEMENTS BASE IN NORTH BENIN

Zevounou C., Gibigaye M., ALLOBA E., YABI C.

Abstract

In some countries and especially in Benin, some premature fissuring of semi-rigid struc- tures in gravelly lateritic built, for the most, with important investment costs is often estab- lished. This is mostly due to the bad proportion in binding agent and sometimes to an overex- ploitation of the piece of work. The present study enters within the general context of the re- search of alternative solutions for an efficient exploitation of local materials (gravelly) in road technique in Benin. This work has consisted to do two borrowing in each one of two zones on which a complete identification has been realized. The materials had afterwards ameliorated at 2%, 3% and 4% of cement in sight of the determination of optimal dose in cement which guarantees satisfactory mechanic characteristics. Accorded to this approach, it was deter- mined that the using of these materials at the natural condition is possible only in sub base course. The formulation study of heterogeneous gravelly-cement in base course has revealed optimal dose relative to every borrowing. Therefore, for security reasons depended on loss of yard, all these values have been brought back at 3.5% at the implementing of gravelly-cement within study zones. The application of this study will guarantee then relative economy no less important.

Ivanov V.N., Grinko E.A.

Abstract

In 2012, the innovation magistrate was created on the basis of the Department of Strength of Material and Structures of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The creation of the magis- trate was necessitated for the training of engineering and scientific personnel dealing with design of large-span space lattice and shell structures because of rising interest to this problem.
