Abstract

The article deals with the problem of Arabic accent in Russian speech; the phonetic errors, occurring due to the differences between the structures of syllables in the Russian language and the Arabic language are analyzed. Using the concrete linguistic material, the author shows that the phonetic accent of a particular Arabic speaker depends on his/her specific dialect and can be conditioned not only by the rules but also by the tendencies, according to which syllables are organized in Arabic.
