Abstract

The appearance of children of foreign migrants have become a new and increasingly popular phenomenon in schools of Moscow and other Russian regions. The article, on the basis of departmental statistics and results of sociological research, describes the composition of foreign students by country of origin, their age characteristics and major constraints of their socio-cultural adaptation. Analyses the policy of the Department of education of the city of Moscow in respect of this category of students. The conclusion about the need to pay more attention to children of foreign migrants by providing them with complete school attendance while strengthening their training in the Russian language.
