GENRE АND POETICS OF I.S. SHMELYOV AUTOBIOGRAPHIC ESSAYS

Abstract

The article is devoted to researching of genre nature of I.S. Shmelyov’s autobiographic essays «Leto Gospodne» and «Bogomolye». The main thing is a «soulbuilding» of young man. So one can define the genre as «psychological novel» or «psychological short novel». And also they are «pedagogical novels»: the «ideal tutor», Gorkin, uses the pedagogics of love and virtue founded on Christian doctrines. The author describes also the poetics of Shmelyov’s works based on child’s world outlook connected with colour and sound sensations.

SPACE-TIME CATEGORIES IN THE BIBLICAL DISCOURSE BY А. BELYI

Abstract

In article specifics of space and time in a bible discourse of A. Bely are considered. The analysis of poetic texts is carried out in semantic aspect with application of a method of text parallels. In work research in works of the poet of functioning of the bible text in the analysis of existential categories is new. The dominating types of spaces are defined. The offered view of minus-space as a uniform text opens the « poetic » concept of life of the lyrical hero. The contextual antinomy of emptiness-light revealed by the author is presented as the main. Supervision over genesis of emptiness and light in A. Bely’s poetry allowed to show an originality of semantic oppositions, their wide variability.

THE MOTIVE OF THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION IN THE COLLECTION OF M. VOLOSHIN POETRY «BURNING BUSH»

Abstract

The article analyzes the evolution of the views of M. Voloshin on the fate of the Russian people in one of the bloodiest periods of XX century’s beginning. Voloshin uses the Christian mythology, filling the pre- revolutionary events with biblical meaning and developing the ideas of Dostoevsky about the ritualized nature of Russian revolt. Drawing parallels between Russian spiritual decline and mythological death of Jesus Christ, Voloshin metaphorically demonstrates the only way to revival and spiritual purification of Russian people, which lies in changing people’s consciousness and «overcoming war, not the enemy».

The article is devoted to the examination of A.Platonov’s stories about Makar Ganushkin, in particular, examination of some features of creative strategy of the writer who recreates «external material» in the text: newspaper and references, historical and biographic facts. Platonov›s text connects fairy tales and realities, propaganda and the art. We introduce the documents earlier not known and not published which have essential value for studying of creativity of A. Platonov in the 1920th - the 1930th years (during his work on short stories «The Dubious Makar», «The Kept Separate Makar»).

CHINGIZ AITMATOV AND RUSSIAN LITERATURE OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract

The article reveals the poetics of Chingiz Aitmatov. At the multinational field of soviet literature Aitmatov’s books became a property of the whole literature, not only Kirgiz literature. At the literary process of the 6 0 -80-th Aitmatov’s works reveal features which organically belong to many other writers of this epoch - in poetics, composition, mythology, architectonics and style. Aitmatov’s novels reveal intertextual ties with masterpieces of Evgenyi Zamyatin, Michail Bulgakov, Boris Pasternak, Valentin Rasputin, Victor Astafiev, Vasiliy Belov, Yuriy Trifonov.The evolution of Aitmatov represents a movement to large scale incarnation of humanistic idea of a Personality and World. Early novels contain a sense of love as bright and strong feeling. The later works show a concern for the Present and the Future of mankind, which becomes the matter of a person’s responsibility.

Abstract

In the article the question about influence of the Parable of the Prodigal Son upon A.S. Pushkin’s «The Station Agent» and А.V. Vampilov’s «The elder son» is considered. Due to the connection with the Bible plot these text however written in the different epochs get close; the correlations between the stylistic systems and between the ideas are set. The Parable in «The Station Agent» becomes a destroying factor, an imposed plot. The characters in «The elder son» play the Parable in a mysterious way, and due to that its plot makes the family idyll possible.

THE REMINISCENCES OF THE TIBETAN BOOK OF THE DEADS IN THE V. PELEVIN BOOK «PINE-APPLE WATERFOR THE BEAUTIFUL LADY»

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analyzing of Pelevin’s texts of the mentioned work and the texts of Tibetan Book of the Deads - Bardo Th dol. In Tibetan Bardo Th dol means the space of human being’s existence post mortem. According to Buddhismus in one of the parts of Bardo every human being waits for the next reincarnation. Pelevin’s main character - The Beautiful Lady - is among them, but she rejects her new birth. In Pelevin’s book the symbol of real human being’s life is pine-apple water, which is inaccessible for The Beautiful Lady. The Book by Pelevin including numerous Buddhistic images and symbols is enigmatic and demands the comprehensions of Buddhistic realities connected with Bardo Th dol. The writer transforms and adapts the fragments from this ancient Tibetan source to the ideas of modern society. The author of the article has attempted to interpret Pelevin’s enigmas.

«THE FEW AND THE MANY» OPPOSITION IN JOHN FOWLES ARTISTIC CONCEPT

Abstract

The development of the European civilization is a history of fight between the Few and the Many. Aristocrats resisted to commoners, musicians and Philistines were at enmity; the cultural elite and crowd don’t understand each other. John Fowles considers this problem in the philosophical essays «Wormhole» and «Aristos». The writer comes to a conclusion that the solution of the matter is impossible if to consider this problem only within social aspect. Heroes of the novel «Collector», representatives of two hostile parties, can neither overcome this conflict, nor leave it without loss. Fowles is sure that the watershed between the Few and the Many has to pass in each individual, but not between individuals. The choice between to be Aristos or to be lowbrow there is a choice of each person. So, people are in a condition of a choice, and it is incentive for their personal development.

Abstract

In the article materials of satire and humour in «Boomerang» item are analyzed, Sasha Cherny was the editor-in-chief and author of them. There are two traditional for emigrant literature subjects allocated: the Soviet Russia and Russians in emigration. Satirical miniatures affect political figures, foreign politics in the USSR and establishment of international relations with other countries; literature and culture. Details of life of Russians in emigration include problems of search of housing, work, an exchange or receiving residence permit. In relation to the Soviet country satirist’s aggression, rage and sharpness are felt, whereas Sasha Cherny writes with irony about Russians in emigrations. In the end of article it is made the conclusion about feature of development comic, those changes in poetics which defined new shape of the poet and writer.

Abstract

The article «Radio format shifting on regional commercial broadcasting station» is about stylistic integrity issue on local broadcasting stations, which are the network partners of Moscow broadcasting stations. There are two basic differences between local and Moscow formats: in information and advertising blocks, and also directly in music content. There are also different options for local broadcasting as a part of network partnership described here. The ignoring of audience idea in broadcasting formatting is considered to be the reason for format shifting.

MEDIA COMMERCIALIZATION IN THE CONTEXT OF A COMMINICATIVE PARADIGM

Abstract

The article is written on the basis of the study undertaken by authors in August-September 2013 and August-September 2014. Phenomenon that authors suggest to call media commercialization and describe as a constantly growing volume of both direct and camouflaged advertising in mass media was researched via questionnaire survey of Muscovites of different age, expert interviews and media specialists’ expert opinions’ monitoring. Authors have unveiled growing belief in infallibility of journalism: older representatives frequently are not able to distinguish commercial materials from editorial articles. At the same time authors noted the trend of growing distrust in traditional media that is demonstrated mostly by the younger generation which prefers modern gamification internet formats.

Abstract

Samuel Clemens is an example of a writer whose literary way was closely connected with his job at the newspapers. His first journalistic works were full of facts from different spheres of life. In this article we offer a thematic and functional analysis of news journalism - one of the most poorly researched periods of his work. Samuel Clemens intentionally combines various techniques and styles, uniting them in flexible genre of letter correspondence. Nevertheless, we highlight informational and analytical areas because of the dominant discourse. Using the form of letter correspondence Samuel Clemens does not give only pure facts but presents subjective emotional involvement in some events and his personal attitude.
