LAURA ALBA-JUEZ is Full Professor at the Faculty of Philology of the National Distance Education University (UNED), in Madrid, Spain. She is the Principal Investigator of the EMO-FunDETT project (FFI2013-47792-C2-1-P), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. The project studies the emotive function of language from a discourse perspective, especially as manifested in work environments. She is a member of the board of the Russian Journal of Linguistics.
