Abstract

The article tackles the problem of searching more efficient ways in the development of economic relations between Russian Federation and other CIS states. With due regard of the negative experience dated to the mostly trading pattern of cooperation it is suggested to move to a reproduction pattern, to launch multilateral transportation and energy projects on the post-Soviet area. The research highlighted the systemic role of Russia in the realization of such large-scale projects as the expansion of gas pipeline network in Eurasia. Based on the geo-economic approach the author illustrated schematically the development of Eurasian gas transportation projects which could give a new impetus to the real integration within the CIS.
