Gene expression analysis of proliferation and apoptosis depending on the status of steroid hormone receptors in breast cancer

Bozhenko V.K., Kudinova E.A., Kharchenko N.V., Zapirov G.M., Trotsenko I.D.

Abstract

In normal cell apoptosis and proliferation are strictly controlled by intra- and extracell mechanisms. These signals interfere with cell pathways through cell receptors, estrogen, progesterone, HER2/neu receptors in the case of breast cancer. Expression of apoptotic and proliferative genes is different in breast cancer depending on hormonal status. Besides correlation analysis shows different role of cell receptors in proliferation control in normal and breast tissue.

Assending the prevalence of cardiovascular end general pathology by screening examination of the population of sudan according to the dispersion mapping

Elgaili A., Ivanov G.G., Dvornikov V.E., Aleksandrova S.G., Azarakh H.

Abstract

A study was completed that examined the characteristics of micro fluctuation state of ECG signal during the screening process in Sudan. On a representative sample of 362 individuals surveyed by dispersion mapping (DM), a boundary separating the “norm” and ”pathology” was defined as “Myocardium” 17%. A borderline zone with “possible pathology” was established as “Myocardium” from 18% to 21%, which indicates the need for special clinical and instrumental examinations and further follow-ups. To increase the sensitivity of the method in detecting any existing pathology, simple stress tests were performed to determine the electrophysiological changes of the myocardium in patients with normal or borderline changes in “Myocardium”. The study was also able to show the differences of DM-ECG individual indicators among Sudanese in comparison with Russians in similar age groups, which should be strongly considered when using this technology. Thus, the use of portable and easy-to-use Russian technology, allows more efficient screening implementation in primary health care, and help expand diagnostic capabilities outside the medical and health facilities.

Aggregation of neutrophils in patients with arterial hypertension dyslipidemic patients receiving rosuvastatin

Skoryatina I.A., Medvedev I.N.

Abstract

Purpose: To establish the dynamics of tneutrophils ability to aggregation in patients with arterial hypertension (AH) and dyslipidemia receiving rosuvastatin. Examined 30 patients with AH of 1—2 grade and dyslipidemia type IIb, risk of 4, middle age. Control submitted on 26 healthy people of similar age. Patients received rosuvastatin 5 mg per night. In patients with AH and dyslipidemia increased neutrophil aggregation was revealed. As a result the use of rosuvastatin in patients with AH and dyslipidemia during 16 weeks led to normalization of lipids, lipid peroxidation and aggregation of neutrophils.

Analysis of microalternation of ECG-signal

Aleksandrova S.G., Azaraksh A.K., Orkvasov M.Y., Aleksandrova M.R., Ivanov G.G.

Abstract

The paper presents the methods of analysis of the ECG-signal alternations, which are increasingly being used in everyday clinical practice. Evaluation of these indicators is an important component of the analysis of myocardial electrical instability and the development of potentially dangerous arrhythmias. New technologies of reception and analysis of the electric field of the heart reflect the creation of a new generation of functional diagnostic methods. Now the method of dispersion mapping is increasingly being used for the screening in Russia.

The level of c-type natriuretic peptide in patients with respiratory cardial comorbidity, depending on genotypes of the gene of endothelial nitric oxide synthase

Polunina O.S., Akhmineeva A.K., Sevostyanova I.V., Voronina L.P.

Abstract

In this work we have studied the level of C-type natriuretic peptide in patients with respiratory cardiac comorbidities (COPD + HD, COPD + IHD), depending on the genotypes (4a/4b and 4b/4b) of the gene of endothelial nitric oxide synthase. Investigation revealed the influence of VNTR-polymorphism on the level of CNUP under the comorbidity combination of COPD + HD, significantly increased production of CNUP, compared with a single disease. At the same time, in patients with COPD + IHD combination of 4а/4b has no significant effect on CNUP production, which is comparable with a single disease (COPD, IHD).

The manifestation of ocular ischemic syndrome in patients with atherosclerotic stenosis of the extracranial parts of carotid arteries

Frolov M.A., Alkam K.M.

Abstract

In the article the results of examination of the 97 patients with stenotic lesions of extracranial parts of carotid arteries, treated at the Vascular Surgery Department № 2, Semashko Central Clinical Hospital № 2 of the JSC “Russian Railways” are presented. During this research all necessary laboratory and instrumental examinations and consultations of specialists (neurologist, ophthalmologist, internist) were conducted. This complex of examinations let us to reveal in 19.6% of patients different symptoms of acute and primary-chronic types of ocular ischemic syndrome (OIS). The frequency of ischemic neurological events in patients with different types of OIS was determined. Both types of OIS (both acute and primary chronic) predominate in patients with 3 or 4 degree of cerebrovascular insufficiency (presence of transient ischemic attack or acute cerebrovascular accident in anamnesis). The relative risk of acute ischemic attacks in patients with acute course of OIS is more than two times higher than in patients with primary chronic type of disease.

X-ray study of kidney and upper urinary tract in internal drainage and after stent removal in the experiment

Shkodkin S.V., Kogan M.I., Ivanov S.V., Idashkin Y.B., Shlokin N.A.

Abstract

Internal ureteral stent is widely used in reconstructive urology and radical oncourology. Immune response to stent — a major cause of surgical complications. The development of new materials and coatings will improve bioinert properties of stents and reduce the incidence of complications. Rate X-ray physiology kidney and upper urinary tract, depending on the use of drainage, duration of drainage and timing of passed since the stent was removed in the experiment. X-ray physiology stented kidney was studied in 15 male rabbits breed the “Gray giant” mass of 4350—4580 grams. All animals were fitted both stent. In the left ureter an experimental stent was implanted, in the right as an internal control — polyurethane one of similar diameter. In the pre-and postoperative period X-ray computed tomography by “Philips” tomograph, excretory urography and X-ray cystometria by angiographic complex «Omega Digital Cath» were performed. The use of internal polyurethane stents in the experiment up to a month led to stent obstruction by urinary salts. In the control group noted the frequent development of obstructive uropathy of the stented kidney. Using an experimental stent did not cause violations of the outflow of urine. The original cover of the experimental stent prevents the crystallization of urinary salts on the stent surface. After removal of the polyurethane stent renal dysfunction persisted throughout the observation period. In the main experimental group such complications were not observed.
