Legal Trends

  • The strategy of our Journal is to present a fresh look at the events, every article is the author’s view on the existing legal problems, on the possible ways of developing a particular legal phenomenon, on proposals how to improve the legal systems.
  • Connecting scientists from different countries we seek to build the international scientific community for exchange of ideas and finding ways to improve legal systems.
  • Studies of our scientists are written in plain language and are accessible not only for academics, but also for all those interested in developments in the field of law, taking place in the world.
  • Following the publication of the first issue in the Open Access Journal will be included on the platform RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index on Web of Science).

Legal Trends is established by the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, students of which live and work in more than 150 countries around the world. It is almost comparable with the number of UN member states. In some periods, more countries were represented at the University than at diplomatic relations of Russian state at the same period of time. University law school graduates now occupy leading positions in their country leadership and international organizations. Among them are representatives of international organizations, such as the Secretary of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, top officials of large developed oil- producing countries, for example, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, representatives of the developing countries, including the President of Guyana.

For us, this means unprecedented scale contact network that allows to attract new highly qualified authors and reviewers.

Emphasis is placed on the fact that we do not accept articles of a historical reference or simple analysis of legal acts, as most of other journals on legal subjects do. Thus, all articles are the result of the author's research of specific topical legal issues and trends in the development of law. Also, the author's approach allows to open scientific debate on a particular issue on the basis of Legal Trends.
