RUSSIA-INDIA: MODERN FEATURES OF COMMON TRADE

Abstract

Article is dedicated to the modern condition and the prospects of the Russian-Indian trade cooperation. The author pays great attention to the dynamics and structure of the Russian-Indian trade of commodities. It is found out that the economic realization of the Russian-Indian cooperation is far away of the political and diplomatic ideas. This statement is based on the indicators of export volume and import volume. The author found out key features of the commodity trade structure. It is discovered some prospects of the Russian-Indian trade cooperation.

PRESENT STATUS OF THE RUSSIAN-IRANIAN ECONOMIC RELATIONS

Abstract

This article provides information about sanctions that were removed from the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as provides information of the main areas of trade relations, the which development may create economic benefits for the Russian Federation within the framework of the above-mentioned bilateral economic relations. The subject of this article is trade and economic relations after the lifting of economic sanctions from the Islamic Republic of Iran. The goal of this article is to identify the most potentially profitable branches of Iran, where the expansion of the Russian economic presence is required. The methodology of this study was a general scientific method of analysis. The result of this article is the author’s proposal to expand certain areas of trade relations between the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran with the provision of statistical data on their development since the lifting of sanctions from Iran. The results of scientific research can be used by participants in foreign economic activity who are interested in expanding their trade and economic relations.

BASIC FOUNDATIONAL PREREQUISITES FOR FORMING EFFECTIVE EMPLOYMENT IN ECONOMIC SYSTEMS FOR INCLUSIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH

Abstract

At the moment, the theoretical and methodological foundations for achieving full and effective employment have not been fully studied by scientists, and the fundamental prerequisites for ensuring economic growth have not been systematized. The relevance of the research is proved by analyzed practical basis for the formation of employment in context of countries with grounded economic indicators: labor productivity, GDP dynamics. The aim of the research is to develop the theoretical and methodological foundations for effective employment of the population on the basis of the genesis of the fundamental prerequisites for the formation of effective employment for inclusive economic growth. The novelty of this research is that the fundamental prerequisites for the formation of effective employment have been studied and scientifically grounded. The author comes to the conclusion that when forming effective employment it is important to take into account the coordinated development of the labor market and market of educational services; interaction of the labor force’s skill level and the elasticity of demand for labor resources by the level of wages; correlative interaction of labor productivity in the workplace, in the household and the life cycle of a person; the relationship between the degree of elasticity of the supply of female labor and the level of wages, between the number of children in a family and their age; the conjugation of the workforce with the company’s objectives, the policy of forming the level of wages, the coefficient of labor participation; institutional rules on the labor market, which complement the market laws operation.

THE PROBLEM OF POVERTY IN RUSSIA IN CONDITIONS OF MULTIFACTOR ECONOMIC CRISIS

Abstract

In this article the author analyzes the problem of poverty in Russia in conditions of multifactor economic crisis, ongoing since 2008-present. The study aims to answer the question: how dangerous is the problem of poverty for the Russian economy now, and what is the reason for its chronic development. The article briefly analyzes the causes of poverty in Russia in the context of the historical stages of its development and highlights the new stages, the analysis and the evaluation of which are conducted on the basis of official statistics. In addition, the ratio between minimum subsistence level and minimum wage and average real wages of the population is estimated, the ways to solve the problem are considered.

NEW FORMS OF UNIVERSITY COOPERATION: INTERNATIONAL NETWORKS OF UNIVERSITIES

Abstract

In the context of the internationalization of education, universities have a key role in forming specialists who meet the growing need and requirements of the new digital and innovative economy. In this regard, new forms of interaction between higher education organizations on the international level - university networks - are emerging and developing. The article presents the results of research of information on international university networks. Thus, 33 international networks of universities, including 13 associations, 12 networks, 8 consortiums were selected according to specific requirements (international, functioning for at least 2 years, the existence of cooperation agreements between the network structures, the presence of more than 4 structures), examined and analyzed. The analysis of networks by various criteria has been carried out. The conclusions about the efficiency of functioning of university networks are presented in the article.

Abstract

Gulf monarchies started developing petrochemical industry in 1980-s. During a quarter of a century they have become the regional and global hub for the petrochemical production. Petrochemicals besides the refining industry are considered to be of the main priorities for the economic development of Bahrain. Export activities, corporate management, products quality, environmental protection of the key company GPIC contribute not only to the GDP growth but to the strengthening of competitiveness of Bahrain in the international market for such petrochemical products as ammonia, methanol and urea and its economy.

THE ESTIMATION OF POSSIBLE SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES OF NUCLEAR POWER STATION BUILDING IN VIETNAM PROVINCE NINTHUAN

Abstract

World experience has the examples of the giant impact of the nuclear power plants construction on the socio-demographic situation of the construction territories. The article considers the directions of influence of the nuclear energy object - nuclear power plants on the socio-demographic situation in the region of construction. There evaluated possible effects of the construction and using of the nuclear power station in Ninh Thuan-1 on the demographic situation in the area, the labor market and social infrastructure. The impact assessment of the nuclear programs is likely to have been produced on the socio-demographic situation in the region by several components and based on the experience of already operating nuclear power plants in China, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. The main trends and direction of influence have been established. In the area of construction of nuclear power plants, first of all, the geography of administrative and territorial division changes: the satellite cities are built, the urbanization increases. The population structure transforms: age structure both of employment at the plant, and population of satellite cities, is shifted towards younger ages, which suggests a high birth rate, low mortality rate and demographic pressure “from below”, without the one from above. The intensification of migration is observed not only due to the migrants, who comes for the construction and to work in nuclear power plant, but also due to the relocation of the population from the sanitary protection zone. The changes exist also in the labor market: there is demand for highly specialized skilled workers, which leads to targeted training and increases the level of education of the population of the region. In addition, the jobs are created for servicing the employees of atomic object, including through building social infrastructure and public catering enterprises.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND DIVERSIFICATION IN THE GULF GROUP COUNTRIES: CURRENT TRENDS

Abstract

The article shows that in the conditions of global instability, on the one hand, and the need to ensure long-term sustainable development, on the other, the GCC countries consistently carry out the process of diversification of the national economy. The author comes to the conclusion that the GCC countries for a number of years in place concrete steps to diversify and already have some positive results, manifested in the formation of new industries and the development of services that provided some stability to these countries in 2014-2015. At the same time, the author comes to the conclusions that in the region persists and are severe limitations in this process as an objective (factor), and certain deficiencies in the implementation of strategic programs. At the same time, according to the author, the experience of the GCC countries in the implementation of the process of economic diversification can be useful for other states with significant raw materials, including the Russian Federation.

On the basis of what has been done, the essence of the main difficulties in the development of modern automobile industry in Iran is revealed, and ways of overcoming them are suggested.

CONTINENTAL MODELS OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: GENERAL AND SPECIAL

Abstract

At present, corporate social responsibility (hereinafter referred to as “CSR”) is a deeply rooted and established element of the economic system as well as the institution of civil society. The models of CSR and the practices of socially responsible business, to the authors` opinion, explain the historical and conceptual features to CSR development in different countries and allow us to identify the most successful and applicable techniques in the field of social partnership between corporate sector and governmental one. Comparative analytical approach to the American, European and African implementation models of corporate social responsibility seems relevant according to the “state-business-society” link and the concept of “social investments”. The last one is a key pathway toward the innovative mechanisms of socially responsible practices around the world that provides output of appropriate codes of conduct. In the process of research the authors state the fact that the global challenges of humanity that increasingly have faced by top-managers are directly related to CSR standards. Moreover, today the corporation encompasses not only the economic point of view. Corporation is perceived as a political entity with specific functions and political resources that reflects the systematic presence of business in many areas of public life: economy, politics, social sphere including education, science, health, environmental protection. In these dimensions corporations play exceptional roles, adopt part of the governmental responsibility and have a special socio-political significance.

PECULIARITIES OF APPLICATION OF DIFFERENT ADVERTISING TOOLS IN RUSSIA

Abstract

One of the most important and relevant business problems is the search for the optimal advertising budget and its distribution on advertising tools. This study focuses on the analysis of advertising budgets and its structure in the Russian market. In paper compares various types of advertisers, and provides recommendations for the application of advertising tools in Russia. The analysis was conducted based on the data of 500 companies working and advertising their products on the Russian market. The main research methods included a compare of averages and a correlation analysis. The author found significant differences in the application of promotional tools among advertisers from different types of business and sectors of the economy. It was found that the producers of goods and services greater use of television advertising than other advertising tools, but retailers use of outdoor, radio and online advertising to promote their products. Companies that sell fast moving consumer goods mainly used the television advertising. Firms selling consumer durables, instead of television ads use outdoor, internet and radio advertising. Sellers of premium and luxury goods advertise only in press, while companies from the service sector are actively using radio, outdoor and online advertising. The results of the study confirmed the findings of foreign researchers about the significant impact of type and sector of business on the allocation of advertising budget.
