REGIONALIZATION IN TERMS OF POSRGLOBAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The new trends of regional integration are discussed through the context of post-globalization. Marked out the most significant changes in its direction and forms of manifestation. Noted the contradictory nature of the existing integration processes: expansion of existing and emergence of new large-scale integration blocks along with this clustered localization of the participants within existing regional entities and the increase in the number of bilateral agreements; the openness of regional entities for new participants and at the same time the exclusive formation of closed structures. Highlighted the formation of especially large transcontinental trade and investment agreements, which can become a new form of post-global regionalism.

FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT IN ARMENIA: ARMENIAN ECONOMISTS’ RESEARCH

Abstract

The article aims to systemize views of different Armenian scholars on features of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in Armenia and their role in national economy. Based on analysis of various publications about FDIs in Armenia, the authors conclude that mainly they are within mainstream of modern FDI concepts. Although, there are signs of Marxist ideology in some of the publications. As a result, authors found positive correlation between FDI flows to the country and sustainable development in long-term perspective. Although, the scholars state that flow of FDIs in Armenia and other developing countries is not a key factor of economic growth. The article emphasizes some factors for attraction of FDIs to Armenia. Some of the factors are considered to be crucial by the scholars. Particularly, they mention strategic assets in industry (brownfield investments), non-expensive and high-qualified employees and widespread Armenian diaspora.

LARGE FAMILY BUSINESS IN REPUBLIC OF KOREA: CORPORATE GOVERNANCE HIGHLIGHTS AND ECONOMIC ROLE

Abstract

Taking up the family-run large business of Korea, the author makes an attempt to survey its corporate governance peculiarities and economic role through the chaebols. In doing so, these powerful business conglomerates are compared with their foreign counterparts in the corporate governance aspect. The “chaebols” are seen having gradually turned from the key factor of economic surge in the 60-70s into that of creating obstacles for the country’s advanced development nowadays. The chaebol pitfalls are summarized as lacking outer control and transparency shortage to have led to corruption growth, overinvestment and dangerous investment, investment diversifications that were not in line with financial rationality and affiliates’ contracts in violation of fair trade principles.

INTERNATIONAL RATINGS IN THE CONTEXT OF PROMOTING RUSSIAN INDUSTRIAL COMPANIES ON THE MARKETSOF DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

Abstract

The article discusses issues related to the role of international benchmarking in the promotion of Russian industrial companies on the markets of developing countries, particularly Asia, Africa and Latin America. Ratings submitted by the group total integrated global rankings and specialized ratings. For each of the groups analyzed the main existing ratings of countries, their features and criteria for the preparation, assessed the dynamics of the Russian indexes. It is concluded that almost all known global rankings, reflecting the export potential of Russia, there is a positive trend. Proposes concrete directions of use of monitoring results in international rankings for the promotion of Russian industrial companies on emerging markets.

Abstract

The article traces the evolution of economic thought concerning improving welfare and poverty reduction in developing countries; analyses the experience of economic policy implementation in relation to poverty reduction in countries of different socio-economic types. The analysis revealed the conformity and differences between theoretical models and actual practice aimed at improving the quality of life through the active involvement of the poor in economic processes. Typology of theoretical approaches to poverty reduction (eradication) was formed by priority instrument of social and economic policy and the time of their occurrence.

BUSINESS OPTIMISATION STRATEGY IN THE FRAMEWORK OF COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION

Abstract

Import substitution is one of the most urgent problems at the current stage of the Russian national economy development. This issue is the most relevant in high-tech industries. Based on analysis of individual enterprise development barriers in the framework of the Russian Aircraft Industry author makes a concrete proposal - the mechanism for improving the commercial aircraft programs implementation strategy using alternative business model. The essential difference and novelty of the alternative embodiment is the unconventional interaction way between aircraft manufacturers, suppliers and customers through intermediaries, operating technical information that is distributed under open source licenses. The article provides description of the mathematical model that assesses the effectiveness of the proposed alternative. Conducted calculations demonstrate that efficiency of the alternative model in comparison with the traditional one is higher, primarily due to better management of research and development process.

PERSONAL INCOME TAX IN EAEU: ANALYSIS OF PARAMETRS AND HARMONIZATION

Abstract

This article examines the background to create a single space of the EAEC tax, providing for the harmonization of tax legislation, harmonization of tax policy, tax administration, and the convergence rate of some taxes. The general and specific approaches used by countries of the EAEC in the personal income tax. Estimated figures reveal the extent of its harmonization, the factors that led to a different level of harmonization of income tax in the context of different composition of the alliance, the most significant of which are the types of benefits, the kinds of tax rates. It is proven to increase the level of harmonization of the rates of income tax for the alliance of the three countries EAEC, due to their participation in the Customs Union and a reduction in the group of five countries, caused by the introduction in some countries of a single tax rate. At the same time it noted that the qualitative indicators show a low level of harmonization of the tax.

PREDICTION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF INCOME AS PART BUDGETARY MECHANISM

Abstract

The paper was formulated and solved the problem of forecasting of items of income of the municipal budget. We considered regulations, their applicability in practice, the problem of the official prediction of existing work on this issue. We consider the classical adaptive model and based on the method of SSA (“caterpillar”). Conclusions about the applicability of the proposed methods in the alternative forecasting budget or drafting social and economic development plan for the municipality. The study suggested software for automated receipt of predicted values of the revenue side of the budget in the context of articles revenue.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AS AN INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT FACTOR (CASE OF ITALY)

Abstract

In the present paper, a current state of the intellectual property institute and its correlation with the other elements of the national innovative system is examined on the example of Italy. The analysis shows an insufficiency of some important aspects such as the financing of R&D both from the business side and from the state side, the level of education of the participants of an innovative process, a level of the intellectual property protection. These leads to the gap between Italy and the world leaders of innovative development by a number of the indicators. The program of innovative development of Italy which is performed over a period of years has some positive results, particularly an increase of applications on the intellectual property registration. However, so far the applied measures are insufficient for the strengthening of Italian positions as an innovatively developed country on the international level.

INTENSIFICATION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES USAGE FOR INNOVATION DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC GROWTH IN RUSSIA

Abstract

In recent years, one of the current issues for the Russian Federation is the problem of transition from the resource-based economic model to the innovative model of economic growth. An important role in this transition is given to information and communication technologies. Russian government has set a strategic goal to become a leader in the development of ICT. To accomplish this task, the government has created a number of programs and strategies to stimulate the development of information technology. The main aim of this article is to examine the current situation of ICT development in the Russian Federation and identify its major trends. The analysis in this paper allows us to say that the current situation in Russia can be evaluated as good. In spite of problems, which were highlighted, almost all observed indicators show a stable positive dynamics. In conclusion, we note that despite the problems in Russia there is great potential in the field of information and communication technology.

COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT SERVICES OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Abstract

Building a comprehensive assessment of urban passenger transport services represents the cumulative interest parametric both in terms of passenger and the carrier. The ratio of high-quality components of the services provided consumer demand reveals their correspondence to each other. A certain number of indicators of quality of public transport, resulting due to the functioning of on-board satellite navigation is considered in the same scale, and is being transformed per 1 ths. Km. Rationing quantitative quality indicators with different units of measurement, eliminates distortion of the result by the use of coefficients from 0 to 1. The significance of each parameter is determined by the correlation analysis without the involvement of the expert opinion. Application of the method can be carried out at the level of the route, road transport companies and urban passenger system as a whole and create an evaluation algorithm for the quality of urban passenger transport.

Abstract

The authors consider, that the main purpose of this publication is to draw attention to a changing a role and an importance of all methodical work types at the university, and to necessity of changing the forms of its organization and management. Developing a comprehensive stimulation system of methodical work will allow expanding directions list of employees labor efforts application, increase the teaching staff interest in teaching, scientific and methodological activities, increase the efficiency of methodical work at the university, optimize the performance of methodological activity units. Based on the practical experience gained, the authors also identified and offered for consideration the main elements of a comprehensive teaching, scientific and methodological work stimulation system in the Volgograd State Technical University, which may be reflected in the future in the practices of other educational institutions.
