The successful development of the coal industry, which supplies coal to various sectors of the economy of Mongolia, it is necessary to develop different types of audit including environmental audit. The authors propose methodological principles and criteria for environmental audit to be based on an integrated assessment of geo-ecological condition of the territory. This approach is universal and can be applied to all types of coal mines in different environmental conditions, taking into account the specifics of the process of mining.
